What is Club Level?

The Chief Mouse and I treated ourselves to a night staying Club Level at Animal Kingdom Lodge before our graduate agent training course at Disney World last year. Little did we know it would start a love affair!

Since that experience, we’ve stayed Club Level at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht Club, and Wilderness Lodge. Of the 3, my favorite club lounge is the Kilimanjaro Club at Animal Kingdom Lodge and the best food vote goes to the Old Faithful Club at Wilderness Lodge.

Each Deluxe Resort has its own themed Club area and they vary in size, amenities, and the overall coolness factor. At Wilderness Lodge and Animal Kingdom Lodge these areas were built strictly as Club areas and I think it shows. Being Club Level at Animal Kingdom also affords you the ability to sign up for the Sunrise Safari, available only to Club Level guests.

Club Level lounges serve a continental breakfast, midday snacks, wine & cheese in the afternoon, heavy hors d’oeuvres around dinner time, and then dessert and liqueurs later at night. Of course, children aren’t forgotten – pb&j Uncrustables, gummy bears, trail mix, crackers, etc. are available as well.

You can also get beer, wine, canned sodas, milk and juice from the lounge. Some will be in the fridge, others you’ll want to request from the Cast Members working in the lounge.

Package delivery to your Resort is taken to your room rather than you needing to fetch it from Bell Services and you also receive nightly turndown service.

Club Level works well for us because we spend a lot of time at WDW actually in our room working so we  take full advantage of the food offerings in the lounge. We’ve found clients with large families or those that return to their Resort for afternoon breaks also get the most from a Club Level stay.

Our next Club Level? Most likely at the Contemporary Resort – I want to try out the lounge there! Have YOU stayed Club Level at a Walt Disney World Resort? Was it worth it? Would you do it again?
