Owned by Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother and operated by her Fairy-Godmothers-in-Training (or FGiTs), Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique transforms little girls into princesses ready to star in their own Disney fairytale. At the Disneyland Resort, BBB is located in Sleeping Beauty Castle in Fantasyland. At Disney World, you can choose from two locations: World of Disney Store in Downtown Disney or Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom. Which location is best? Well, that depends. You can’t beat the ambience at Cinderella Castle and the location right across from Cinderella’s Royal Table is fabulous if you’re getting princessified before dining with the princesses, however the boutique itself is small and can be cramped if they’re busy, the selection is smaller, and park admission is required. The Downtown Disney location makes up for the lack of ambience by providing a larger space and greater selection, as well as not requiring a ticket to enter. The BBB at Downtown Disney is the only location that can do the Secret Star (Hannah Montana) package too!
Once you’ve decided which location, you’ll need to choose a package. Don’t worry, you can upgrade later but it helps to have something in mind… and budget. As of 2010, the options are:
The Coach Package: hairstyle, shimmering makeup, and BBB sash for $49.95 plus tax.
The Crown Package: everything in the Coach Package plus nails for $54.95 plus tax.
The Castle Package: everything in the Crown Package plus a princess dress of her choice, crown, shoes, wand, and a photo package with one 6×8 and four 4×6 photos with a princess-themed folder for $189.95 plus tax and up, depending on dress and shoes chosen.
Each of the 3 packages includes one of three hairstyles: Fairytale Princess (tight bun with sparkling tiara), Disney Diva (pulled back with ponytail hairpiece & accessories), and Pop Princess (brightly colored hairpieces and Mickey clips).

When I asked Kip if he’d like to share anything about the experience, he said: “It was amazing. Every little girl in there was smiling from ear to ear while getting spoiled by the Disney staff. It was worth every penny seeing her eyes light up when people complimented her as she walked around dressed like a princess.”
If your girl is more Hannah Montana than Disney Princess, consider the Secret Star Makeover. Available only at the Downtown Disney location, it includes a wig, microphone headset (prop), Hannah Montana t-shirt and guitar purse, Backstage Pass makeup kit, and a photo shoot with one 6×8 photo and themed plastic frame for $109.95 plus tax.
The FGiT’s have a few rules for their guests:
- Children must be at least 3 years old at the time of their appointment.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Hair must be clean and free of all styling products including gels and sprays.
- Nails must be clean and free of polish.
- Scalp must be free of any “condition” for the last 30 days.
- You must bring your own brush and comb.
Now, you know I’m not going to leave you without a few tips and tricks of my own, right? Disney PhotoPass photographers are on-hand so be sure to utilize them! You can bring your own costumes to BBB and dress there – purchase from The Disney Store or go for cute and comfortable princess wear from Ollie Girl! like we do. Are you gifting your princess with a BBB session for her birthday? Let her FGiT know and she’ll receive a special birthday sash. Taking a prince with you as well? He can have a Cool Dude package for $7.50 which includes colorful hair gel and confetti – it’s a hoot! If they’re not too busy, the FGiT will pixie dust (very fine glitter) the hair of your little princess for free.
