The Silly Bandz craze is sweeping the nation and Disney FINALLY entered the ring! In case you’ve been under a rock – or don’t have kids or pre-teens in the house – Silly Bandz are akin to the rubber bracelets of the 80′s. They’re silicone “bands” die molded into different shapes and they snap back into shape when taken off your wrist. Kids collect and trade them, looking for favorite shapes, glow-in-the-dark or tie-dyed styles, and new ways to wear them. The standard way is on your wrist but after some safety concerns with little ones sleeping in them or wearing them too far up their arms, kids have started wearing Silly Bandz on necklaces, carabiners (Disney has those too!), and on keychains. Schools have banned them, and some areas are already done with the craze, but I still see them everywhere. The Princess Mouse is the proud owner of a gazillion of them, including several sets of Disney Silly Bandz (of course) and we’ve been known to tuck a few into client packets.
