Do you ever look back at your vacation pictures and realize no one would know you were there because you’re always TAKING the pictures instead of in them? Disney’s PhotoPass program allows you to actually BE IN YOUR VACATION PICTURES! Disney provides this basic info about the PhotoPass system:
Getting started is easy! Our friendly, professionally trained photographers are all over the Parks and will provide you a Disney’s PhotoPass card. Re-use the card every time you stop for photos. To view them, come back to DisneyPhotoPass.com within 30 days, log in (or register if you haven’t done so already), and enter the number from your card. Then the fun really begins!
You can edit your photos, share them and create products too. Plus, prints, Disney’s Photo Downloads and Disney’s PhotoCD are available so no matter how you want to remember the moment, you can do it with Disney’s PhotoPass service! And don’t forget your camera. You can upload your own photos to use in products or order prints. It’s personalization with a Disney touch!

Pretty cool, huh? But there’s so much more! Here are some of our top tips for getting most from PhotoPass:
- As soon as you get your PhotoPass card, take a picture of the ID number on the back and/or write it down somewhere safe. Should you lose your card, you can still use that number to view your Disney PhotoPass images from the card.
- You can have multiple PhotoPass cards and add them all to your account at DisneyPhotoPass.com so no worries if you forget your card, your group splits up for the day or an event, or the person who’s carrying the card is AWOL when a PhotoPass opportunity presents itself.
- A photo from the entrance of each WDW park – Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom with Cinderella’s Castle in the background, Expedition Everest or the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom, Sorcerer Mickey’s hat at Hollywood Studios, and Spaceship Earth at Epcot – is a fabulous way to start any photobook or scrapbook of your vacation.

- Ride images are NOT added to the PhotoPass card EXCEPT for Test Track at Epcot so be sure to stop by after the ride and have your Test Track ride shot added.
- There’s no limit to the number of images you can get on a PhotoPass card/account so don’t be shy about using the system. Disney will send you multiple CD’s at purchase if the number of images requires it at no additional charge.
- If you’re traveling with a group, you can get the same shot added to multiple PhotoPass cards. Great for when you have a picture of all of the cousins together with Mickey and each set of parents wants that image on their PhotoPass.
- PhotoPass photographers will use your camera to get a shot as well – get everything ready before your turn, then pass the camera off to the photographer.
- You can upload images from your own camera to the Disney PhotoPass system and then treat those images just like the ones the Disney PhotoPass photographers took – add borders and surprises, make a photobook, etc. They are not included in your CD though.
- Use your PhotoPass card at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique photo session – you don’t need to purchase the BBB image package, though BBB image package holders will be taken first.

- Many Disney PhotoPass photographers are really good about getting candid shots with the characters as well as the posed “CHEESE!” picture so be sure to allow them to photograph the character interaction with your group.
- When visiting Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach waterparks, you can get a special PhotoPass card that hangs from your wrist. Brilliant!
- If you purchase a photo package at a character meal, like Akershus Royal Banquet or Chef Mickey’s, you can get that shot added to your PhotoPass too. Cinderella’s Royal Table meals and Donald’s Safari Breakfast at Tusker House include a photo package so those can be added without additional charge.

- “Magic” poses are available throughout WDW – for example, cup your hands in front of the Castle and VOILA! You’re holding Tinkerbell in the final shot. Ask PhotoPass photographers if there are any “magic” or “special” poses they can do.

- If you pre-pay your PhotoPass CD, be sure to let the PhotoPass photographers know because they tend to take a lot more pictures knowing they’ll be used.
To pre-purchase your PhotoPass CD, click here and receive it for $99.95 (regular CD) or $149.95 for the CD and Photobook.
